ghosts of disappointment

I have officially become a tourist.

I used to live on the lovely Mackinac Island. Yup, the place with this:
At any rate, while visiting the island, and my favorite Blacksmith, I found a new book about hauntings on the island. My boyfriend is a big ghost buff, so we bought it. I decided this morning would be a great one to start reading, before I head out to do historical interpretation. I got really into it when I read a ghost story I knew, and experienced with my best friend up there. I also recognized my other friend's ghost story and I started to get excited, maybe somehow this author found out about MY ghost story. I got really excited.

Nope, no ghost stories by Jenn were in there at all. I know I heard ghosts, I know I know I know. They were running around while I was sick. But of course, that's not cool is it? Seeing ghosts is much cooler then hearing them, right?

Ah well, who needs to read about my ghosts stories? I mean I have such cooler stories from that time in my life, including a horrid walk home from 1/2 wine night.

hilarious

So today has been a lively discussion about hipsters. Someone has recently met their first hipsters and wanted to know about them/how to be them. I am a self proclaimed borderline hipster. I would never agree that I am a hipster, although I have been called it often. At any rate, trying to describe how to become a hipster could be the most amazing, and hilarious conversation I have ever had.

In other news, I'm really getting into ethnic dancing. I found a school that offers classes such as Aztec Ceremonial Dance, Mexican Folkloric, and Flamenco. I have every intention of taking full advantage of this school. My dear hertiage, I am fully embracing you.
Also, side bar: Watch the finale of So You Think You Can Dance. Although my favorite (Will) has been voted off, the dancing is amazing entertaining. That being said guess who might try to fight the herds of little teenieboppers to try and score tickets this weekend? yep, This girl.

Oh my goodness. Two of my favorite things: mummies, and Mexico. I haven't been up on the debate, but apparently there was one. Mummies in a gym though? Really?

According to a study it looks like more people will suffer from kidney stones. I can assure you, as a person with kidney stones, they suck. eff this global warming. Go green to save your kidneys at least.

starting over

I'm starting this blog over. It was lameo before. I will try again. I hope to make it less me, me, me, and more...well different. I also will try my darnest to make this blog not about boys, or puppies, or other things that bore most people. But, again, I've been known to break promises.

At work, I have started a new project. Well quite a few actually, but one that allows me play on websites. I have stumpled across this gem:
http://www.sciencemuseum.org.uk/launchpad/launchball/
I highly recommend giving it a try. It's rather addicting, and you learn about science principles, but the main thing is it's really cool.
