UN-effing-believable.
it's been ages since I've updated this thing. I think I'm not interesting enough to maintain a blog. I mean in all honesty, I'm turning into an old lady at 25.
I will try harder to get better... until then. enjoy the kitten:
*note: i am NOT a cat lady.
Another thing to blog home about...

I don't like to admit I have an addictive personality, because I really don't, but I do have a guilty pleasures personailty like every other 20 something year old.
Right now, my guilty pleasures included, but are not limited to:
+ People.com. What is wrong with me?! I check it about 4 times a day, to make sure I'm all caught up on who is dating who and who broke up, and who knocked up who! I barely know these people as I'm away from mainstream pop culture, as in when did Achy Breaky Heart guy have a daughter, and when did she start appearing on everything she could be? I guess my love of celebrity gossip stems from wanting drama or excitment in my daily life like everyone else. I can tell you, the most excitement I see on a daily basis, is if a kid throws up during a class.
+ Gossip Girl. My love affair with Gossip Girl happened in the fall of 2006, when I worked in a ticket booth for a month after my job as a historical interpreter went down to two days a week because the museum closed up the house I worked in, and before I started my current job. I went to some grocery store in up north Michigan, that also doubles as a clothing store, houseware store, and book store (everything in up norht Michigan does that, Hallmark sold Crocs. it was AWESOME. I bought the cutest pair and a birthday card for my mom.) Thinking the book would be barely readable but pass the day, I picked it up with my supply of chicken, and soup. well, it surpassed every expectation and I loved it and bought more books online. I am now addicted, and I do love the tv show. Chuck is by far my favorite character.
+ Hipster fashion. I rag on them, sure. But I secretly want those pants that they wear. Not too tight, as in never able to get them off so I sleep in them and wear them all day and all night for 6 days in a row. But I still like them. I also like their shoes.

Okay, enough with this. I am currently not obbessed with my blog.

some of us (me) have been busy busy busy. But, I still find time for the Olympics. I'm pretty sure if I didn't have to be at work (and I had cable) I would take mental health days for the 2 weeks the olympics are in session to watch every game. Yep, I'm Olympic obsessed. I'm not sure why though, I haven't been "sporty" since I was about 15. I also have no favorites like everyone else in love with gymnastics or swimming. I like them. I also really like waterpolo, or archery, or shooting why can't I watch those? Oh that's right, they are not primetime. stupid cable being so expensive....
that being said, I still love the olympics with all my heart, and find them at the center of my social life plans right now. (who am I kidding, I don't have any...)
Waterpolo is still the coolest. but surprisingly, it's not for their attractiveness.

quarterlife crap.
I have hit that point in my life that every mid twenty year old dreads...the quarter life crisis. Mine though has been mildly happening for the last 5 years thanks to always dating older boys (yes, I'm using the term boys). However, upon discussion today I'm glad to know I'm not the only freaked out, terrified with the potential of being a full blown grown up.
Al Capone at my age was incharge of his mobster empire. Sure he was doing ungodly amounts of evil things to society, but the point is look at where he was at early twenties. Upon pointing this out one night, my friend said "Do you really want to do things...like he did?" True, I don't want to run my own mob, because frankly I would be the worst mob boss in the world because I'm pretty darn lazy. So I had to think of a new example of someone fabulous that was my age.
My friend owned a house in Chicago at 23. That's pretty big accomplishment. I own...a bed and a couch. And that was a big step for me. Trust me.
